About Me

25 Random things about me:

  1. I have lived all over the United States in the past seven years, from California to the Deep South.

  4. I am a first generation American. My maternal and paternal families are immigrants from Portugal and Germany, which greatly influences my cooking.
  5. In college, I spent a summer in Australia volunteering for a wilderness conservation organization and having the outdoor adventure of a lifetime.

  8. I started cooking when I was fourteen years old and haven’t stopped since.
  9. I’m a total psychology buff and love reading about different issues, perspectives and research findings.

  12. My favorite breakfast of all time is a classic Eggs Benedict.

  20. My favorite color is purple.
  21. When I was a child, I used to have a Baskin Robins ice cream cake and pinata for each of my birthday parties.

I came to realize he wasn’t meant to be a pet, and re-homed him in a beautiful parrot sanctuary where he is, no doubt, the happiest little bird ever. It was a very tough and emotional ordeal for me. Luckily, I can still visit him πŸ™‚
  23. The first things I learned to cook were fried eggs and pasta. Now, I eat low carb, and only one of those skills comes in handy πŸ˜‰
